What is the Energy Company Obligation?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme was set up in April 2013. The purpose of the scheme is to help customers make their homes more energy-efficient. In the past, the scheme's included offering customers improvements like;

  • Repairing or replacing old or less efficient boilers
  • Installing better insulation

Under the last ECO scheme we ran to date, we've helped 1,729 customers install energy efficiency measures in their homes. We want to help other customers too, which all adds up to improving energy efficiency across the UK. Want to know more about the scheme?Find out more information on the Ofgem website
